AI in PracticeA practical AI masterclass
Understand it. Experiment with it. Put it to work.
You’ve probably used ChatGPT, Claude or another AI tool. But are you getting real value from it, or still figuring out what it can actually do?
This one-day masterclass helps professionals understand how AI works, where it falls short and how to use it well in everyday work. Explore the tools, practise on real business scenarios and find opportunities to make AI useful in your own role.
- One day
- Managers and teams
- No coding required
Using AI is easy. Using it well takes understanding.
AI isn’t new. You’ve been using it for years, from recommendation engines and fraud detection to navigation and predictive text. What’s changed is how we interact with it. Instead of working quietly in the background, AI is now something you can talk to: ask it to write, analyse, summarise, compare, explain and solve problems.
The results can be impressive. But impressive doesn’t always mean useful. AI can confidently give you the wrong answer, agree with a weak idea or produce something polished that misses the point.
The challenge isn’t just writing better prompts. It’s understanding what AI is good at, where it struggles and how to work with it. That’s where this masterclass starts.
What you’ll take away from the masterclass
You don’t need to become an AI expert. You should leave with a better understanding of the technology and practical ways to start using it.
Understand AI
Learn how generative AI and large language models work, and why they sometimes get things wrong.
Get better results
Learn how to structure instructions, provide context and move beyond generic prompts.
Choose the right tools
Explore ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Copilot, and what each is useful for.
Challenge your thinking
Use AI to question assumptions, explore alternatives and improve ideas, instead of having it simply agree with you.
Explore AI agents
Understand how AI can complete multi-step tasks, and how to develop repeatable workflows.
Experiment responsibly
Recognise risks, protect sensitive information and set sensible boundaries.
What we’ll cover in the AI masterclass
Six modules that take you from the fundamentals to applying AI in your own work.
01AI before the hype
Discover the AI you’ve already been using and what’s changed with generative AI. Understand the difference between AI, machine learning, generative AI and large language models.
02How AI actually works
Explore how LLMs generate responses, where hallucinations come from and why AI can sound confident even when it’s wrong. Learn to recognise useful outputs and questionable claims.
03Understanding the AI tool landscape
Compare ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot. Explore how to choose a tool based on the task, the information involved and the level of risk.
04Prompting for better results
Learn practical prompting principles and the R-C-T-O framework: Role, Context, Task and Output. See how clearer instructions change the usefulness of a response.
05AI agents and practical automation
Understand the shift from AI that answers questions to AI that can use tools, plan actions and complete multi-step tasks. Explore where automation helps and where human oversight matters.
06Applying AI safely across a business
Explore shared assistants, reusable workflows, brand tone, sensitive data and AI governance. Learn how teams can experiment without losing consistency or control.
Less watching. More doing.
This isn’t a day of slides and impressive demos. You’ll work through practical exercises that apply each idea to real business problems.
Turn messy work into structure
Take something you already deal with, such as meeting notes, project updates, customer feedback or an unfinished idea, and use AI to turn it into something useful.
Then challenge the output. What did it get right? What did it miss? Would you actually use it?
Use AI as a thinking partner
Instead of asking AI to validate your next big idea, ask it to find the weaknesses.
Explore assumptions, operational risks, likely objections and the evidence you’d need before moving forward.
Design an AI use case for your team
Work with others to identify a practical opportunity for AI in your workplace.
Define what the assistant should do, what information it needs, where human review is necessary and how you’d know whether it was useful.
Who is this AI masterclass for?
You don’t need a technical background or previous AI training. It’s for people who want to move beyond experimenting and start using AI more effectively.
Business leaders and managers
Understand AI capabilities, limitations and opportunities so you can make better decisions about adoption.
Product and project managers
Use AI to explore problems, challenge assumptions, organise information and support planning.
Marketing, sales and CX professionals
Explore practical applications for content, research, communication and customer experience.
Everyday AI users
Move beyond occasional ChatGPT prompts and develop more useful, repeatable ways of working.
Whether you’ve never used ChatGPT or use AI every day, the aim is the same: understand the technology well enough to use it with more confidence and better judgement.
It’s not about learning a hundred prompts.
AI tools change quickly. Memorising prompts or learning where every button sits will only get you so far. This masterclass focuses on the concepts and skills that stay useful as the technology moves.
Understand the technology, not just the interface.
Learn what the models are doing, where their answers come from and why they make mistakes.
Use your own problems, not only prepared demos.
Work with familiar tasks and scenarios that reflect what you actually do.
Develop judgement, not dependence.
Learn when AI can help, when it needs checking and when it shouldn’t be making decisions.
Leave with something you can use.
Identify practical AI opportunities and begin turning useful prompts into repeatable workflows.
Bring the AI masterclass to your team.
AI adoption isn’t just giving people access to the latest tools. It’s helping them understand what those tools can do, encouraging experimentation and setting sensible boundaries for using AI at work.

Frequently asked questions about the AI masterclass
Do I need any technical knowledge to attend?
No. The masterclass is designed for professionals without a technical background. You won’t write code or study machine learning mathematics. Concepts are explained in plain language, and the focus is on practical use.
Is this AI training suitable for beginners?
Yes. It starts from the AI you have already been using without noticing, and builds from there. People who already use AI every day still get value from the sections on how models work, where they fail and how to check what they produce.
Will I learn how to use ChatGPT?
Yes, alongside Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot. The aim is not to memorise where the buttons are. It is to understand what these tools are doing, so you can choose the right one for a task and get more useful results from it.
What is the difference between AI 101 and AI in Practice?
AI 101 is a shorter introduction to what AI is and how to use it sensibly. AI in Practice is the full-day masterclass. It covers the same foundations, then adds prompting, AI agents, safe use across a business and three practical exercises using your own work.
Does the masterclass cover AI agents?
Yes. One module covers the shift from AI that answers questions to AI that can use tools, plan actions and complete multi-step tasks, and where a person still needs to review or approve the result.
Can the AI masterclass be delivered to our employees?
Yes. It can be run as a corporate workshop for your team and tailored to your functions, the tools you already use and your everyday business challenges. Register your interest and choose “Training for my organisation”.
What should I bring?
Real, non-confidential work examples, such as meeting notes, project updates or an idea you are working on. Please don’t bring customer records, passwords or confidential documents to use in the exercises. We’ll confirm anything else you need, such as a device or access to a particular tool, before the session.
How long is the AI masterclass?
One day, from 10:00 to 16:00. It mixes short explanations, live demonstrations, individual exercises and group discussion.
Is this a certification?
No. ROQ CX does not offer accredited or certified training, and no certificate is attached to the masterclass.
How much does it cost?
Register your interest and we’ll share the fee when dates are confirmed. Corporate workshops are quoted once we understand your team and what you want to cover.
Stop wondering what AI can do. Start finding out what it can do for you.
You don’t need the perfect prompt, tool or process to start. You need a practical understanding of the technology, a willingness to experiment and the judgement to recognise what works.
